My superfoods smoothie

I am a huge smoothie fan. I find smoothies are the best way to pack a ton of supefoods into one delicious meal. Keep in mind -food is not like medicine – it IS medicine! Incorporating the right ingredients into your daily diet can help with the aging process, with reducing inflammation and in improving your hormone balance and gut health.

If you do not have an expensive blender – fret not. I make my smoothies in a nutribullet each and every morning. There are two options you can look into;

  1. The basic nutribullet 8 piece set.
  2. The champagne nutribullet 13 piece set.

Both options do a great job at smoothies, salad dressings and other sauces.

Superfoods smoothie

Below you will find the ingredients for my superfoods smoothie. Each ingredient contains a powerful nutritional punch along with being delicious. In short;

Berries – Berries, such as blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, and blackberries, are packed with antioxidants, particularly anthocyanins and vitamin C, which help combat oxidative stress and slow down the aging process. Their natural sweetness makes them a fantastic alternative to processed sugars, helping to satisfy your sweet tooth without causing blood sugar spikes or unwanted weight gain.

Cilantro – Cilantro is a fresh herb known for its detoxifying properties, particularly in helping the body eliminate heavy metals like lead and mercury. It is rich in vitamins A, C, and K, which support immune function, skin health, and blood clotting. Additionally, cilantro has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, making it a great addition to a balanced diet.

Bananas – Bananas are a fantastic source of potassium, which supports muscle function and heart health while helping to regulate blood pressure. Their natural creaminess makes them a great base for smoothies, eliminating the need for dairy while keeping your drinks thick and satisfying. Bananas are also rich in fiber, aiding digestion and keeping you full longer.

Collagen – Collagen is a structural protein that plays a vital role in maintaining skin elasticity, joint health, and strong bones. As we age, natural collagen production declines, leading to wrinkles, joint pain, and weaker bones. Supplementing with collagen can help restore skin hydration, reduce wrinkles, and support overall mobility.
